Season 5 finale. The housewives prepare to attend the season finale party. Vicki, still hurt by the San Francisco trip, vows to stay clear of drama. Gretchen and Slade color-coordinate outfits, looking (according to Vicki) as the plastic toppers of a wedding cake. Lynn's daughters arrive at the party obviously under the influence, and Lynn excuses herself for knowing stating that the limo was big and she didn't know what her daughter's were up to. Tamra and Simon have a heated argument in the limo on the way to the party, with Tamra stating that she wants a divorce. The show ends with a recap of each housewife as is the tradition, and the last summary is that Tamra and Simon are divorcing.

Alexis and her husband, Jim, invite their pastor and his wife to breakfast. They talk about the role of modern day Christians and how Alexis feels judged for her beauty and looks. Gretchen and her boyfriend, Slade Smiley, are off to Palm Springs for a weekend getaway with her parents. It’s Tamra’s 42nd birthday and her husband, Simon, takes her out for a romantic dinner.

Lynne Curtin’s daughters, Raquel and Alexa, are home alone when a stranger knocks on the door and hands Raquel an eviction notice. Vicki Gunvalson hears terrifying health news about her daughter, Brianna. Alexis Bellino and Gretchen Rossi meet for dinner and discuss Lynne’s housewarming party the night before. The ladies head to San Francisco for a girls weekend away. At dinner that night, everyone is annoyed by Alexis’ non-stop phone calls and texting with Jim at the table. The ladies begin the next day with a round of shopping followed by a beautiful water front lunch. Vicki takes a business call at the lunch table and this rubs Alexis the wrong way and she confronts Vicki about her comments over the previous night’s calls to Jim.

Now that Tamra Barney's marriage is feeling more stable, she decides to get Simon’s name tattooed on her ring finger. Simon is surprised when Tamra reveals the tattoo during a Harley ride to Balboa Island. Simon comments “that’s the first unselfish thing you’ve done in a long time.” Vicki Gunvalson and her husband, Donn, weather a date night filled with typical Vicki mishaps including a bee in Donn’s drink and spilled red wine on Vicki’s top. However, it’s Donn’s romantic surprise that trumps every distraction and leaves Vicki completely overwhelmed. Lynne Curtin calls Alexis Bellino to apologize for her recent behavior at Alexis' cooking party. Lynne invites Alexis to a housewarming party she and her husband, Frank, are throwing in their new Laguna Beach home. After the debacle at Alexis’ cooking party, Gretchen Rossi and her boyfriend, Slade, discuss the state of her friendship with Lynne and whether or not they should attend the Curtin's housewarming party. Gretchen decides to stand by her friend, and Slade reluctantly agrees. The Curtins’ housewarming starts off on a good note, but that doesn’t last too long when a heated argument breaks out between Simon and Vicki. Tamra is once again stuck in the middle of a crazy triangle between her husband and best friend. The next morning after the party, the Curtin's are delivered devastating news in the form of an eviction notice.

The summer is coming to an end and the Barneys are getting ready for back to school. Tamra Barney shares that she wants her trouble marriage to Simon to work, fully aware that their kids are feeling the tension in the home. Gretchen Rossi is preparing for an upcoming trade show where she will debut her new make up line, Gretchen Christine Beaute. Gretchen shares that she is nervous about all the money she is spending on launching this business and decides she needs some professional career advice so she meets with Vicki Gunvalson. Vicki asks Gretchen if Slade has a job and is bringing in money. Then, Vicki asks how much money Jeff left her. An upset Gretchen quickly ends the meeting. Meanwhile, Lynne Curtin visits her mom to get some advice on her teen daughters, particularly her 16-year-old, Alexa. Lynne’s mom says that Lynne is just too nice and laid back with her girls, who need discipline. Later, Lynne and Alexa have an emotional argument and the relationship between mother and daughter continues to unravel. Alexis Bellino tells her husband, Jim, that she would like to throw a cooking party for the Housewives, admitting that the party is just an excuse to get Tamra and Gretchen in the same room and see is she can the ladies to finally be friends. But at the party, it's Gretchen and Lynne who end up in a heated argument over Gretchen's newfound concern over Alexa

Also, Vicki travels to Florida for an insurance convention and invites all the Housewives to join her for a ladies-only getaway. But, Alexis tells Gretchen that if she goes on Vickis Florida girl trip, Jim will definitely be accompanying her. Gretchen begins to wonder about everyone's confining relationships.

In the fourth season premiere of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Orange County, Vicki Gunvalson's children, Michael and Briana, have moved back home for the summer. Vicki thinks about buying a yacht - a million dollar purchase and the only way to fund it is to sell the family's beloved Havasu home. Michael is all for it, but Briana hates the idea and wishes her mother would spend more time with her family instead of working all the time to pay for her lifestyle. Jeana Keough is stuck in the middle. Her daughter, Kara, is back for the summer after a tough freshman year at UC Berkeley. Her oldest son, Shane, is doing well in the minor leagues, while her youngest son, Colton, is a precocious Orange County teenager. As for her husband, Matt, they have been separated for a year, but Jeana lets him move back into the house, and he's not leaving any time soon. Jeana decides to redecorate the family room and her bedroom, the places most representing her relationship to Matt. She brings in a decorator who tells the former Playmate that it is time for her 20-year-old Playboy pictures to come down so that she may stop living in the past. And so Jeana's journey begins. These days, Tamra Barney is dealing with family issues, both new and old. After 15 years her mother, Sandy, is still mourning the breakup of her marriage to Tamra's estranged father. Tamra takes her mother to her plastic surgeon for a facelift consultation in hopes to jump-start her dating life. Meanwhile, her perpetually "lost" son Ryan has quit his job at the Mercedes dealership, working a temp job and trying to move into his own place. For Lauri and George Peterson, the romance continues. Lauri lives the life of a privileged South Orange county housewife and charges away on her new black American Express card, a wedding present from her beloved George. Gretchen Rossi meets with realtor Jeana Keough to view a home in Coto with her fiancé, Jeff. Jeff is 23 years older than Gretchen, has been married and divorced five times, has four adult children and is very rich. Jeff also has acute Leukemia. Jeff proposed to Gretchen from his hospital bed just months after they began dating. Later, Jeana decides to gather all the ladies for a private designer label trunk show at her house. With their upcoming nuptials rapidly approaching, Lauri and George decide to plan a family vacation. George and his daughters are accustomed to luxury travel, fine dining and staying in five Star hotels. This year, Lauri wants the family to “bond with nature” so she rents an RV and packs up the family to go camping in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. With summer coming to an end, Vicki packs up her family to go to their favorite vacation spot, Puerto Vallarta. Vicki invites Jeana and her children, Kara and Colton. Recently separated from her husband, Jeana is looking forward to spending quality time with her kids and letting loose. But unfortunately for Vicki and her family, Jeana let’s a little too loose. With her real estate business taking off, Tamra struggles to find quality time with Simon so she takes up tennis, his favorite sport. But Tamra faces an even greater challenge as she wrestles with the decision to undergo a breast reduction. Quinn is still juggling the men in her life, but before she can move on, she needs to move out her things from her former boyfriend’s home. Quinn finds the experience a little more emotional than she expected, but her ex-boyfriend David is not sympathetic.

Jeana, Vicki, Tammy and Tamra head down to the U.S. Grant Hotel in San Diego for some housewife hijinks. Newly single Jeana is back on the market and ready for anything. The ladies are in the lap of luxury, enjoying a presidential suite and the San Diego nightlife. A conflict between Jeana and Vicki comes to light and threatens their friendship. The OC Angels promote their energy drink at the US Open in Huntington Beach but bad driving, bad attitudes and bad luck threaten to ruin it all. Meanwhile, Tamra’s real estate business is booming, while Lauri travels to Oklahoma with daughter, Sophie, to spend some time with the US Women’s Softball Team.

Lauri invites her daughter, Ashley, for lunch to fill her in on the latest wedding plans. She's found a designer for her dress and wants Ashley to be with her during her fitting. Ashley is excited, but feels that after her mother's two previous walks down the aisle, she deserves to be her Maid of Honor for number three. Lauri, however,is not sold on the idea. Vicki's son, Michael, begins an insurance internship in Seattle. Vicki has promised to pass on the "insurance torch" to Michael if he's interested in pursuing the field as a career. Although Michael's not certain he has the passion for insurance, he does have the passion for the money. Jeana's oldest son, Shane, is playing minor league baseball. Jeana and her youngest son, Colton, travel to Vancouver to watch him play. While there, Colton plays with the team and gets some valuable tips from his big brother. Tamra's real estate business is taking off, but the work leaves her very little time to see her husband, Simon. Tamra decides to surprise her him with a visit to his office. Meanwhile, Tamra's son, Ryan, has finally landed a job--just not the one he expected. Quinn, a new housewife, joins the cast, and meets the rest of the Housewives over drinks. She brings her 26-year-old boyfriend to meet the girls, and he's mistaken for her son! A serial dater and regular church-goer, Quinn makes an immediate impression on the Real Housewives.

They talk about Briana's future with her long time boyfriend, Colby, and Vicki admits that she is in no rush for them to get married. Son Michael comes home from Colorado with his girlfriend, Lauren, and a double date dinner with Briana and Colby turns into a Vicki-venting session as both siblings rebel against their mother. Later, Michael's recent interest in his mother's lucrative insurance business sets the stage for him to take a training trip to Seattle with her. Tamra begins to regret her decision to bring jobless and lazy son, Ryan, back into the house. He spends his time loafing, drinking and partying instead of getting his act together. The revelation of yet another enormous tattoo on his body sends Tamra over the edge. She may be forced to admit to husband Simon that she was wrong about letting Ryan move back home. Jeana's daughter, Kara, is getting back into show business again. A former child actor, Kara auditions for a role in a low budget movie but things don't go exactly as planned. Laurie spends time with her youngest daughter, Sophie, as they ready her old condo for sale and attend horseback-riding lessons together. Tammy has her hands full as daughter, Megan, turns 21. A sunset birthday cruise with her daughters turns into an ugly, drunken debacle and the Knickerbocker women face a crisis.

All the Housewives decide to get together for a nice dinner and catch up on their lives. It’s a boisterous night filled with lots of fun, lots of laughter and even more alcohol. The gloves are off as inhibitions--and lips--loosen. Since the death of her father, Lindsey has been struggling financially. But a recent modeling contract provides Lindsey with an amazing opportunity, a lot of exposure and financial independence. It’s week six of boot camp and Vicki and Jeana are still working their “butts” off. Vicki is a little frustrated with her results so far, but insists she’s eating healthy. When she receives an unexpected visit from John, her boot camp Instructor, Vicki has a lot of explaining to do. Jeana’s been seeing results from her boot camp experience, but when John surprises her with a visit, Jeana has a bigger surprise for him. Meanwhile, Tamra’s 40th birthday is rapidly approaching and she’s determined to be the sexiest she can be, so she decides to get Botox and do a little clubbing with her husband and her 21 year-old son.

Vicki invites Jeana, Colton, Tammy and Frankie to spend the weekend with her and Donn at their Lake Havasu vacation home. The alcohol flows like the river on which they party, but tensions between Vicki and Donn threaten to ruin the trip. Things turn dangerous when Colton takes a shocking death defying jump. Laurie furthers her wedding plans by choosing a photographer and wedding invitations, while newly single Kara contemplates an offer from mother Jeana to take part in a mother/daughter pictorial for Playboy magazine. Tamra throws a big birthday bash for son, Spencer, who just turned seven. The party atmosphere can't tame the tension between her oldest son, Ryan, and her husband, Simon. Later at a family dinner, jobless Ryan bickers with step dad Simon, putting Tamra in the middle again.

Recent empty-nesters Vicki and Donn, seek to reduce the stress in their lives by downsizing and buying a smaller home in Coto. Unfortunately, Vicki is having buyer's remorse. Vicki likes her big home in Coto and struggles with the notion that downsizing equals failure. Having just graduated from high school, Kara has been accepted to UC Berkeley. Eager to check out the campus, the Keoughs leave for Northern California, but forget to tell Colton, leaving him home alone. Since the death of Lou Knickerbocker, Tammy has tried to be a supportive mother to her daughters. Lindsey is keeping busy with the Lou's Legacy, the OC Angels, but a recent car accident in the Hummer sends the "Angels" to the California Speedway for some much needed driving lessons. Meanwhile, as Lauri and George begin to build a life together, Lauri decides to put her townhouse up for sale. Unfortunately for Ashley, that means having to find another place to live – but not before a visit to the Playboy Mansion. Tamra is rapidly approaching 40, but she's not ready to age gracefully. Conscious of the fact that she's been raising children for the last 21 years, Tamra is up for anything that will keep her youthful, including riding on the back of a Harley Davidson and hanging out with biker dudes.

Briana is now living on her own as she goes to college and Vicki has learned that with both kids out of the house, the only way she can maintain any control over them is with money. Lauri is awash in wedding plans as her upcoming nuptials to George consume her every thought and deed. George's eldest daughter, McKenzie, is about to graduate from high school and hopes desperately to get a trip to Miami Beach as her graduation present. Jeana is excelling as a real estate agent in the community while Shane struggles with a recent back injury, which is keeping him from playing professional baseball. As usual, Kara and Shane fight while Jeana's husband Matt tries to keep his cool. Kara and kid brother, Colton, bond after the death of their dog, Shire. A major tragedy has befallen Tammy and her daughters, Megan and Lindsey. Their father (and Tammy's ex-husband) Lou Knickerbocker, recently died of a heart attack. Without a will to provide for them, Megan and Lindsey are now forced to fend for themselves while Lou's young widow gets everything he had. Lindsey – who was living with Lou at the time of his death – was kicked out of the house by Lou's young wife, leaving her no choice but to move in with sister, Megan. They both live above Tammy's water damaged home, which is under renovation. Their future is uncertain and their lives will never be the same again. Meanwhile in the Keough household, Jeana's daughter Kara is graduating from high school and planning a graduation party. Younger brother Colton is becoming more like his older brother Shane as his antisocial behavior escalates. Newly single Kara (recently broken up with boyfriend Steven) is devastated when Colton doesn't show up for her graduation. Shane leaves to play minor league baseball in Canada. Newest and hottest housewife Tamra – on the verge of turning 40 - is a realtor and mother of four. Her eldest son, Ryan, whom she had when she was only 18, is from a previous marriage. The 21-year-old moved out of the house when he turned 18 because of tension between himself and Tamra's current husband, Simon. But now that he's moving back home, sparks are about to fly, with Tamra caught in the middle.

But the family fun is tarnished when Josh and Ashley bicker bitterly over him wanting to move into Lauri's townhouse with her. Sophie's over-the-top gifts include a cell phone and a horse. Jeana's oldest, Shane, ponders a possible career after baseball by going shopping for his first suit with a family friend, while Jeana and daughter Kara have a shopping splurge to look for dresses to wear to Vicki's upcoming party. Tammy's oldest daughter -- moody Megan -- is spending more time hanging out with her sister Lindsey back home. She still broods about the materialism of the community, and accuses her little sister of wanting to marry for money. Vicki and husband Donn are now a pair of "empty nesters" looking to make a love re-connection. Donn decides to take charge and plan a surprise trip to Catalina, and the couple embarks on a weekend getaway to rekindle the romance in their marriage. All the housewives and their families attend a big backyard bash at Vicki's house. Jo arrives separately from Slade, but when he shows up with a sexy date on his arm, all hell breaks loose.

Jeana shops with her son, Shane, for some last minute items as he prepares to leave for college. She also decides its time to bond with her daughter Kara -- by inviting her to an exclusive diamond-shopping trip. Its time for Shane to leave the nest and Kara is visibly upset with her brother's departure. In other parts of the gated community, Kimberly and Jo prepare to play a tennis match with women from the very competitive and elite Women's Tennis League. After the tennis match, Jo and Slade have an emotional confrontation that brings more questions than answers about the relationship. Vicki is excited to join the diamond-shopping trip, where she contemplates a new setting for her wedding ring. Vicki's son Michael is eager to leave for college, but Vicki struggles to let him go. Fearing the empty nest, she tries to spend quality time with Briana, but it doesn't go as expected. Doing better financially, Lauri joins Vicki and Jeana on the diamond-shopping spree in Beverly Hills, where she agonizes about whether she should buy something for herself. Lauri also volunteers for a rock concert charity event, where Steve, her boyfriend, is the headliner. Later on, a rift develops between Lauri's kids and her boyfriend.

Upon their return, Vicki worries about money, argues with Michael about getting a job, and fears that her employee Lauri isn't going to work out. Lauri's troubles continue to mount. Her son, Josh, gets into big trouble at school and gets arrested. Lauri has to break the news to her youngest daughter, Sophie.
