BGC is the story of four mercenaries living in Tokyo in the year 2033. After a massive earthquake that destroyes much of Tokyo, the four mercenaries, dubbed the Knight Sabers, are left fighting against the GENOM Corporation, its evil androids, and everything it stands against. The original eight episodes are followed by the next series, Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040, and another follow-up series, Bubblegum Crash.
