Benidorm regulars for twenty years Jacqueline and Donald are enthusiastic middle-ages swingers who rarely leave the hotel. Known as ‘The Oracle’ because of his computer-like knowledge of trivial facts and figures, Geoff Maltby is on holiday with his mother, or PA as he calls her, but keen to hide the fact. Gavin and Troy are on their first break away together after setting up a successful hair salon. Kate and Martin’s marriage is at braking point after only one night in the resort. Then there are The Garveys; a Lancashire family who are on their first holiday abroad. Janice and Mick plus Janice’s mother – the sun-worshipping, chain-smoking Madge who can always be guaranteed to have a bad word for everyone.

Les/Lesley discovers some of Donald's clothes on the nudist beach - and it seems that Donald has left Jacqueline a note. The Garveys are gearing up for the opening of Madge's new bar, but when Lucky Kev arrives with some free tickets for a theme park, Mick packs the women and children off for the day. Pauline turns to the bottle as she awaits news on her divorce. Jacqueline, Kenneth and Gavin head off to pay their respects to Donald - but nothing goes to plan and Jacqueline is involved in a rather unusual water-skiing accident. As Gavin's patience with Kenneth reaches its limit, Troy appears - and brings some life-changing news.

All is not well at the Solana. After Les’s discovery of some of Donald’s clothing on the nudist beach, events take a dramatic turn. The Garveys are gearing up for the opening of Madge’s new bar, but when local idiot arrives with some freebie tickets for the Terra Mitica theme park Mick packs the women and children off for the day. Pauline’s in a tense mood as she awaits the news of her divorce and deals with the pressure with the help of a little drink. The sun is shining in Benidorm again and although Pauline is more or less now permanently drunk everyone’s looking forward to eighties night with special guests, Bananarama. There’s big news for Madge, but will she be brave enough to take the plunge? Kenneth takes Gavin on a trip, but it doesn’t quite turn out to be the relaxing day he had promised.
