Orwell lives in a  fog of depression and when Vince asks what is wrong she says why are you asking and he says because they are friends. Vince minds the store and the media covers the scene of Ark security double dealing. Orwell cautions Vince it's a direct strategy. She tells him she has migraines that come in waves. She says well, well, the Fleming is human after all. She speaks to someone named Chimera when the phone rings and lies in an all white room.

Meanwhile Marty is arrested after Vince plays the Orwell tapes between Raoul and Fleming’s minion Reese. Ark troops come for Marty at home, as his wife is asking questions about his job. Fleming announces Voyt has been corrupt. Marty screams at Fleming when he comes to visit in jail. Fleming says he must take the fall and do the time and keep his mouth shut. Fleming threatens his wife and children, and says he’ll fake a suicide if Brady doesn’t cooperate. Voyt is scared. Meanwhile Orwell tells Vince she feels like she is being watched.

Dana insists on being Marty’s attorney. Orwell says she’s walking into a buzzsaw. Fleming meets with Raoul. Fleming tells him while at his tailor to shut down Dana. Dominic sends goons who try, but the Cape is there, and so is her boss, (with a staple gun). He was alerted by a threatening phone call saying Dana needs to be off Marty Voyt’s case. Cape tells Dana to be careful, and Dana says she doesn’t expect either of them to understand. Dana tells Voyt she wants him to have the trial Faraday never had. Voyt gives his wife a shaded confession of his dealings with ARK.

Marty is released because he made bail, just after telling his wife. He assumes it's Dana. The press waiting outside include various hit men with guns. Orwell and Cape are watching, and it’s a setup. Leaving the courthouse Dana angrily asks Marty what he is doing, there’s a mob outside. Voyt says he thought Dana set it up. Cape shows up to block Voyt from getting shot. He throws puffs of smoke and they all vanish. Fleming says Ark has closed down the roads and Voyt can’t get out. Orwell is told to get the kids to the Carnival. Dana tells the Cape that Tripp is at her parent’s house.

Voyt confesses to Dana about the frame up. Dana reacts emotionally while the Cape watches from behind. Orwell sees Dana, the woman Faraday really loves, in person. Faraday struggles to conceal his identity. Voyt refuses to tell Dana what his last words were. Dana says Tripp wakes up screaming and then Voyt tells Dana Fleming is Chess. The real Chess. Cape almost blows his cover seeing Dana upset over his “death”. The carnival people plot to take a small train out of town. The proximity of Dana is almost too much for Vince to bear.

Meanwhile Mr. Raoul tortures people to get information for Fleming, who has agreed to cut the juice if they succeed in finding Marty. Orwell is really fraying, but holds it together. Marty’s daughter leaves her cellphone on and the ARK security forces land in Trolley Park. Vince says change of plan, and Rollo takes the kids and the women go with Orwell. As ARK forces invade, Marty picks up a machine gun and shoots at ARK troops. Raoul walks through Trolley Park, looking for Cape and Voyt. Rollo and Max get the women and kids on the train while Voyt gets shot protecting the Cape. Before he dies, Vince unmasks himself to an amazed Voyt.

Fleming gives a prèss conference saying that Dominic Raoul was behind the crimes and that Voyt was too. But the reporters only want to talk about the Cape. Raoul is now at Owl Island prison. Orwell takes Dana and Tripp to their home. While she checks for devices, she sees a picture of Mr. and Mrs. Faraday. The reality of Vince's role is made clear. She tells Dana that her husband (present tense) really loves her. This is the family life she never had. Orwell reveals she was an army brat, grew up all over the world. Then she drifts off.

Max breaks out the Vietnamese snake wine to celebrate their release. He says all dreams have their end, indicating that the Cape may be cleared soon if Marty's story can be told.

About the author tvqueen

tvqueen

I like to watch TV shows from classic eras as well as contemporary drama and comedy. Science Fiction is fun, and shows like the Cape and Fringe keep hope alive that the medium that produced Space 1999 is alive. Comedy such as 30 Rock is usually, good, but not always. I like Survivor but it has so little to do with survivor skills I am disappointed. Appointment viewing is Grey's Anatomy, NCIS LA, The CSI series for New York and Las Vegas and Miami, with a special shout out for the new Hawaii Five O. Gordon Ramsay's Hells Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares are top of the line viewing for the drama comedy Gordon's character and the business lessons they teach.
