Breaking Bad Season 6 UK Air Date Confirmed For Netflix UK

It's nearly time for the final chapter of Breaking Bad. This August will see the final instalment of Walter White's journey on AMC.
AMC have confirmed the US return date to be Sunday August 11th 9/8c, while Netflix UK have confirmed that they have struck a deal to make the episodes available to UK fans the day after. Which will see Breaking Bad season 6 available on Netflix UK the day after the episode airs in the US. This will mean fans can watch the each and every episode of season 6 from Monday 12th August.
A move such as this with instant syndication is hopefully another step towards the nirvana of world wide legal internet distribution of TV and films in a subscription based model. Netflix UK made their first move into this area by providing individual episodes of The Killing season 3 available to the UK straight after they aired in the US.
In the UK, Netflix aren't without their competition, with LoveFilm being owned by Amazon they surly have the financial clout to go to to toe with Netflix. The competition should work well for UK fans bringing more international TV content to UK fans faster then before. Although I am sure Sky might have a thing or two to say about the new competition in getting first run rights to TV shows.
Breaking Bad aired on FX in the UK before moving to 5USA but only the first 2 seasons aired before being dropped. Thankfully Netflix UK picked up Breaking Bad showing seasons 3, 4 and 5 for the first time to UK fans.
I will be watching Breaking Bad season 6 on Netflix UK will you? If you are behind, why not catch-up with the first 5 seasons on Netflix UK now.
