The network AMC, home of gems such as Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead and Mad Men has ordered ten episodes of Low Winter Sun.

The crime drama is based on a two part Channel 4 miniseries of the same name. Mark Strong (Sherlock Holmes, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Kick-Ass) starred in the original in 2006 and has been brought back for the adaptation.

Low Winter Sun tells the story of murder and corruption within the Detroit underworld and is described as "a contemporary story of murder, deception, revenge and corruption in a world where the line between cops and criminals is blurred.”

The series will be helmed by Criminal Minds writer/executive producer Chris Mundy.

AMC has not given a premiere date yet.
