Finally! UK fans of Friday Night Lights will be able to see the conclusion to the award winning US drama. After Sky Atlantic, confirmed via twitter that they will be showing the final 3 seasons of Friday Night Lights.

After initially being picked-up by ITV, Friday Night Lights suffered from being placed on ITV4 on Friday night's. Which resulted in poor viewing figures and season 2 airing at later and later time slots. With the final episodes of season 2 airing in the small hours of the morning.

This resulted in UK fans being unable to see the final 3 seasons as ITV opted not to pick-up the final 3 seasons. While the first 2 seasons have been available on DVD in the UK, the remaining seasons haven't due to the fact that they haven't aired on UK TV. Even in the USA Friday Night Lights struggled to complete its 5 season run. Having to rely on cable channel DirectTV to partner with NBC to make the final 3 seasons.
