The wait is almost over for Suburgatory's UK premier. After waiting almost 12 months since Channel 4 announced that it had secured the rights to air Suburgatory in the UK, the time is almost upon us. As with most US comedies acquired by Channel 4, it won't air on the parent channel, but will air on E4.

While the premier date is still to be confirmed, the premier has been pencilled in for the week beginning Monday 16th July. The only question now is, will it air as part of the Thursday night comedy line-up or end up on another night?

Suburgatory is a half-hour comedy from ABC and follows in the footsteps ABC's other comedy Happy Endings in coming to the UK via E4. Suburgatory stars Jane Levy as Tessa Altman a 16 year old who has just moved from the city to the suburbs with her single father George played by Jeremy Sisto. After George finds an unopened box of condoms in her drawer.

However after the move, all Tessa can see is the horror of her new home, over-manicured lawns and plastic Franken-moms.

Update: At last, we have a UK air date for Suburgatory on E4. Tuesday 17th July at 9:30 straight after the brand new episode of New Girl.

Check out the trailer for Suburgatory below. Get ready for Suburgatory series 1 beginning on E4 in a few weeks.
