New series "Whitney" and "Up All Night" get full season pickups main image

NBC has ordered a full season of the two new comedies “Whitney” and “Up All Night.”  The two programs join NBC’s notorious comedy lineup with “Whitney” settling in to the Thursday night, 9:30 pm, time slot.  “Up All Night” air from 8:00 until 8:30 pm., ET.  NBC Entertainment’s Robert Greenbalt delivered an announcement on October 4, 2011 regarding the news.

“We made comedy an important goal for us this season and I’m very pleased to be making full-season commitments to both ‘Whitney’ and “Up All Night,” he stated.  Continuing Greenbalt said, “We’re thrilled with the creative direction of both shows as well as the potential for them to continue to build loyal audiences over the coming months. We’re proud of all of the producers, writers, actors, and directors who have worked so hard to bring these shows to life.”

The shows star Whitney Cummings in the eponymous series and Christian Applegate (Samantha Who) plays Reagan Brinkley in “Up All Night.”
