NBC’s new sexy crime drama “The Playboy Club” caused a stir with some Utah stations and was dropped by the NBC affiliate KSL.  Mark Wiles, President of KSL, had released a statement that says, ‘The Playboy brand is known internationally.  Everyone is clear what it stands for.  We want to be sure everyone is clear what the KSL brand stands for, which is completely inconsistent with the Playboy brand.  KSL had stated they were working with NBC to find another station to air the controversial programming.

TV Guide  reported that the Salt Lake City station, KMYU, will pick up the show when it premieres in fall 2011.   Vice President and General Manager of KMYU Steve Carlston stated, “"This highly anticipated crime drama will now have the opportunity to be seen by the viewers throughout (the Salt Lake City market)."
