On June 2, 2011, Syfy announced their new show “Haunted Collector” is their highest debuting series for 2011 with more than 1.4 million viewers tuning in for their premiere episode on June 1, 2011. According to a report from Syfy, the show attracted 799,000 adult viewers between the ages of 25 and 54 and 730,000 adult viewers between the ages of 18 and 49. The show airs on Wednesdays from 9:00 pm until 10:00 pm.
“Haunted Collector” takes a different approach to most occult, supernatural shows. Whereas there are several popular reality series that focus on haunted houses or paranormal experiences in general, “Haunted Collector” follows a family that collects items that are believed to be enchanted in some form or another. Each object collected by John Zaffis has been known to have wreaked havoc on its previous owner or owners.
On Wednesday June 1, 2011, “Haunted Collector” followed a special episode of “Ghost Hunters.”
