MTV have revealed that Ashton Kutcher will be replacing Charlie Sheen in the hit US TV series Two and a Half Men.

The accomplished actor and MTV Punk’d star will be joining Two and a Half Men after former star Charlie Sheen was fired after insulting the show’s producers on a live broadcasting radio station.

Ashton Kutcher told MTV: “I can’t replace Charlie Sheen but I’m going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of the people!”

Creator of the show, Chuck Lorre, says that the network and studio are happy with the new storyline that has been produced for the introduction of Ashton. Although Ashton’s salary has yet been released, there are already rumours that it will top Charlie Sheen’s previous salary with the Show.

This will be the first time Ashton Kutcher will be a main feature in a TV series since the successful That 70s Show, which originally launched the stars career. Comedy Central have not yet reported when the new series will begin but as soon as the filming is complete they will be sure to reveal the dates that it will be aired.
