New Pilots coming to NBC

New Pilots coming to NBC main image

Chelsea Lately, Debra Messing, Katharine McPhee, B.D. Wong, Elizabeth Hurley, Adrianne Palicki, Beverly D’Angelo, Jimmy Smits, B.D. Wong and Aidan Quinn are just a few of the actors and actresses set to appear in new NBC pilots.  Here is a quick look at some of the new pilots picked up by NBC.

17th Precinct

Fans of Battlestar Gallactica are anxiously awaiting this new pilot by executive producer Ron Moore.  A sci-fi drama, 17th precinct features a supernatural police force in a town called Excelsior.  Stars include Eamonn Walker, Stockard Channing, Jamie Bamber and Tricia Helfer.

Are you There, Vodka?  It’s Me, Chelsea

This new comedy is based upon the book by Chelsea Handling that will feature Laura Prepon (That 70’s Show) as Chelsea’s younger sister. 

My Life as an Experiment

Jack Black executive produces this show that features a magazine writer and his family as he finds himself in strange situations pertaining t his stories.  Paget Brewster, Donald Sutherland, Jon Dore, and Adam Campbell star.


Jeff Hephner takes the lead role in this pilot that shows the launch of the Playboy era beginning with the 1963 Chicago Playboy club.  Stars include Amber Heard, Naturi Naughton, Eddie Cibrian, and Laura Benanti.

Prime Suspect

This is an adaptation of the British miniseries and features Maria Bello as a female detective making her way in a male dominated precinct.  Stars include Aidan Quinn, Toby Stevens and Tim Griffin.


After suffering a car accident, a police detective played by Jason Isaacs, finds himself living in two realties.  Cast members include Steve Harris, B.D. Wong and Wilmer Valderrama.

Special Investigations L.A.

Jimmy Smits returns with a new pilot focused in L.A. and a look at the criminal justice system through multiple perspectives.  Cast includes Madchen Amick, Danny Pino, Noah Emmerich and Luis Chavez.


Debra Messing returns to television and joins with American Idol’s Katharine McPhee.  The tow are part of a group that is putting together a Marilyn Monroe themed Broadway show.  Cast members include Angelica Huston, Christian Borle, Raza Jaffrey and Jack Davenport..

Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman returns to the screen with Adrianne Palicki in the lead role and features Elizabeth Hurley, Tracie Thoms, Cary Elwes and Pedro Pacal.  Wonder Woman is the creation of David E. Kelley.
