Keira Knightley is coming to SyFy where she’ll voice the role of Tinkerbell for a new miniseries Neverland. Barrie.  The classic story has found its place in literary works and films spawning film such as Hook and Disney’s 2002 film Return to Never Land which followed Disney’s 1953 classic, Peter Pan.

Keira Knightley is known for her gamine appearance so it is no surprise she would be cast in the role of Tinker Bell.  Though many U.S. movie and television viewers associate Keira with films such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, but European markets are well familiar with Knightley for her television work.  Other films to Keira Knightley’s credits include, Bend it Like Beckham, Love Actually, King Arthur, The Jacket, Domino, Pride & Prejudice, Silk, Atonement, The Edge of Love, The Duchess, Last Night and Never Let Me Go.

Filming for Neverland is set to begin in spring.  According to Deadline Neverland will air in the U.S. on SyFy in December 2011.
