ABC announced today in a press release that World News with Diane Sawyer will feature a new segment titled “Made in America.”  The segment will begin on Monday, February 28, 2011 with a feature airing from Dallas, Texas.  Diane Sawyer will take a look at global trade and the current rate of imports verses exports.  With the U.S. economy in a volatile state, many nationwide prefer to buy consumer goods that are made in America, rather than those that are imported from overseas.  The show will address several questions asked by many regarding purchasing consumer goods that are made in America.

  1. Is it more expensive to buy products that are made in America?
  2. What products have ceased to be manufactured in the United States?
  3. Would it make a difference if the entire nation stopped buying imports and only purchased goods that were made in America?

Additionally, the ABC World News team will interview a family from Dallas, Texas as they attempt to furnish three rooms in their home with products that were made in America.
