A.D. Police: To Protect and Serve is a Japanese animated television series set in the Bubblegum Crisis universe.
The 12-episode series revolves around the AD Police, a special attack squad dedicated to stopping rogue boomers. Boomers are humanoid robots that do menial human tasks, such as cleaning, cashiering, and construction. However, some boomers go berserk, and when they do it's up to the AD Police to stop them.

In a distant future, humanity once again is facing the threat of the "Shadow Angels". Mystical creatures who returned after 12.000 years of absence. They attack human cities and kidnap their inhabitants in order to drain their "prana" (vital energy). The story revolves mainly arround Apollo, a teenager rumored as the reencarnation of Apolonius, a fallen angel who fought against his own kind to protect mankind. The story centers around Akihisa Yoshii, the "baka" of the title. His academy rigidly divides up the student body into classes based on the results of tests. The prodigies are in the A class with reclining seats complete with air conditioning, but Akihisa is in F class, the lowest rung of the school ladder which is furnished only with low, decrepit tables and worn-out straw tatami mats. A girl named Mizuki Himeji is actually one of the smartest girls in Akihisa's sophomore year, but she had a fever on test day and was pigeonholed into the F class. Besides Mizuki (who Akihisa secretly adores), the F class also has Yūji Sakamoto, the class president who has been Akihisa's friend and partner-in-crime since the freshman year.

One day mysterious cards fall from the sky and are picked up by hundreds of kids. The kids then develop a game know as Bakugan. However, there is more to the game then they thought. The Bakugan come from another world known as Vestroia, where the evil Naga is trying to conquer the world by finding the Infinity Core. Now the kids and Bakugan must team up to stop this threat.
