"Against the Wind" begins in country Ireland in 1798 where the Mulvane family lives. Mary, the eldest daughter, is in love with Michael Connor. The Red Coats though from England are slowly taking over Ireland and when the Pastor's fee goes up and the Mulvane's can't pay, their cow is taken instead. Not wanting to give into the English, Mary and Michael go to steal the cow back in the middle of the night, are caught in the act and Michael is killed. Mary is sentenced to be transported to Australia aboard a merchant ship where she first encounters Ensign Greville. All Saints is a popular Australian medical drama which airs on the Seven Network, and various international networks. The programme debuted on 24 February 1998 and soon became one of Australia's highest-rating dramas. All Saints also achieved popularity overseas, particularly in Ireland and the United Kingdom.
The series is set in a fictional Sydney suburban hospital, All Saints General Western Hospital. Its stories originally focused on the lives of the nurses of Ward 17, which was also known as the "garbage ward" because it took the overflow of patients. 'Big Bite' is a sketch/comedy show, that aired shortly on the Seven Network.
It first aired on at 7.30pm on a Thursday night in May 2003. This fast-paced skit show featured many talented comedians such as: Andrew O'Keefe (who now hosts weekday gameshow Deal Or No Deal) and Chris Lilley, Rebecca De Unamuno, Kate McCartney and Andrew Dyer (who all stared on Wednesday nights short-lived variety show Hamish & Andy). Big Bite was a great show while it lasted and is great many of the comedian on other great Aussie shows.
