This Is Personal: The Hunt for the Yorkshire Ripper logoIn the mid-1970s, a serial killer dubbed The Yorkshire Ripper is stalking prostitutes in the north of England. The largest manhunt ever mounted in the UK has so far failed to find the man responsible for the mutilation killings and the pressure is on to find him before he strikes again. Then the killer sends a tape recording to Assistant Chief Constable George Oldfield, the officer in change of the investigation, and the arrest of the killer becomes a personal campaign for Oldfield.

Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends logoThe show is about a tank engine, Thomas, and his friends who live on the Island of Sodor. Together, the engines work on the railways under the supervision of Sir Topham Hatt, the "Fat Controller." Thomas The Tank Engine actually dates back to 1945, when the Reverend Wilbert Vere Awdry created The Railway Series to amuse his son Christopher, who was suffering from measles. His wife Margaret encouraged him to publish the stories and he did so, going on to add another book each year (except 1947 and 1971) until 1972. Wilbert's son Christopher later continued The Railway Series up to 40 books. In 1984 Britt Allcroft decided to turn the stories into a TV series with Ringo Starr as the narrator. Dropping the tokens down a choice of four shoots, they hope to knock piles of them off a moving shelf - and the more they collect, the greater the prize fund. The player who has won the least amount of money is then eliminated, and this continues round by round, until only one player remains. When only one player is remaining, the player is given a special coin which is dropped into the machine. The aim is to get the coin back out of the machine in order to win £10,000. Any coins which drop in the process of trying to get the special coin out are counted, as before, as £50 apiece and should the player not manage to remove the special coin, they will be able to choose ...
