Doctor Finlay (1993)

Doctor Finlay (1993) logoBased on Cronin's novella entitled Country Doctor, the storylines centered on Dr. Finlay's general medical practice in the fictional Scottish town of Tannochbrae during the late 1920s. The main characters were Dr. Finlay, a junior partner in the practice, played by Bill Simpson, Dr. Cameron, the craggy senior partner, played by Andrew Cruickshank, and Janet, their unflappable housekeeper and receptionist at Arden House, played by Barbara Mullen. Dr. Finlay returned to television with the ITV series, Doctor Finlay, which featured David Rintoul as Dr. Finlay, Ian Bannen as Dr. Cameron, and Annette Crosbie as Janet. It later aired in the U.S. on PBS' Masterpiece Theatre.

Doctor in the House

The third series Entitled "Doctor At Large sees Robin Nedwell, Martin Shaw, Simon Cuff and Jonathan Lynn out of the series. By this time we get the chance to see Doctor Upton's career as a medical doctor, and the obvious disasters that come with it. Doctor On The Go

Doctor On The Go logoDoctor on the Go is a British television comedy series based on a set of books by Richard Gordon about the misadventures of a group of doctors. The series follows directly from its predecessor Doctor at Sea and was produced by London Weekend Television in 1975-77. Writers for the Doctor on the Go episodes were Douglas Adams, Rob Buckman, Richard Laing, George Layton, Jonathan Lynn, Bernard McKenna, Steve Thorn and Paul Wolfson.

The volunteers, members of the Territorial Army 203 Field Hospital Unit based in Cardiff, are all experienced trauma specialists. Each episode focuses on different characters – following them through training, from their regular jobs in the NHS, to the battlefield.
